Members of the Singapore Book Publishers Association (SBPA) have been traditionally involved in the publishing, importation and distribution of books in Singapore.

With content now being represented in many different formats, including digital media, the SBPA welcomes publishers of print as well as digital platforms to join our group.

GET CONNECTED

SBPA has forged strong relations with key government agencies in Singapore, such as the Info-Communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), National Arts Council (NAC), National Library Board (NLB) and others, enabling members to gain access to relevant and available government funding for their projects.

We organise the Singapore Pavilions, with subsidies for members, at key International Events such as the Frankfurt, London, Beijing International Book Fairs as well as the BETT Show in London.

BE PART OF A STRONGER VOICE OF THE INDUSTRY

We strongly advocate that the publishing industry is a significant contributor to Singapore's economy, and promotes our creative talents in writing, illustration and design.  The SBPA also represents the industry in government regulatory issues like the ongoing review on Singapore's copyright laws.

GAIN MORE SKILLS

With strong support from our members, associates and government agencies, the SBPA conducts programmes to help upgrade our members with skills that are relevant to the publishing industry. 

We organise industry forums with global experts to share trends, knowledge, information and technological changes in the publishing world. We work with like-minded partners such as the Independent Publishers Guild (IPG) in the UK to plan and organise training courses on essential publishing skills as well as on managing digital assets such as book metadata.

BE RECOGNISED

The Singapore Book Publishers Association showcases outstanding titles published in Singapore across all genres in the Singapore Book Awards, held annually. Profiling our talents in writing, illustration and book design, this event has gained much media and public attention.
