Eligibility

• This contest is open only to residents of Singapore, aged 18 years old and above.
• You must have a valid Singapore mobile number.
• Each participant is only allowed to vote once. Additional votes will be disqualified.

Contest Mechanics

• Votes for the Readers’ Choice Award are only valid through online voting.
• The voting period starts from Friday 9 July 2021 and ends on Monday 20 September 2021.
• The title that receives the greatest number of votes will be declared the winner of the Readers’ Choice Award by the President of SBPA during the Awards Ceremony on 24 September 2021.
• The SBPA President will then proceed to pick 4 lucky voters from the pool of voters who voted for the Readers’ Choice winner. The names of the 4 lucky voters will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on 24 September 2021.
• The 4 lucky voters will each walk away with $300 worth of book vouchers.
• All entries must be received before 23:59 hours on 20 September 2021 (GMT + 08:00).
• Publishers, corporate sponsors, and staff of SBPA are not eligible to take part in the voting process.
• No correspondence will be entertained about the SBPA's decision.
• The winners may be required to participate in a photo taking session during the presentation of prizes. Pictures may be posted online for publicity purposes.
• SBPA reserves the right to disqualify voters that do not meet the rules and regulations of the voting competition. These include entries submitted with invalid or incorrect information.

Terms & Conditions

• Voting entries must be fully filled with Name, Mobile Number, E-mail. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.
• Winners must produce proof of identity e.g., NRIC or work permit pass and the printed prize notification e-mail upon the prize collection.
• Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or other items and may be subject to availability. Value of the prizes may vary. SBPA reserves the right to replace any prizes with items of similar value without prior notice.
• The winners of the voting competition will be notified by Monday 27 September 2021 via WhatsApp or e-mail. SPBA reserves the rights to deal with all unclaimed prizes in any manner deemed fit.
• Lucky Draw winners are required to respond by Monday 4 October 2021 (within a week from notification date) to claim their prizes. Winners who do not respond within the deadline will have their prizes forfeited.
• Where applicable, prizes not collected by Monday 4 October 2021 shall be disposed of at SBPA's sole discretion. SBPA's decision regarding the award of all prizes, and/or in every situation including any not covered in these Terms and Conditions, shall be final and binding on all participants in the contest, and no queries, challenges or appeals may be made or entertained regarding SBPA's decision on the same. The receipt by any winner of any prize under this contest is conditional upon compliance with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the winner's part to allow the use of the winner's name, image, voice and/or likeness by SBPA for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.
• Acceptance of any prize shall constitute a release and discharge of SBPA by each winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the contest, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the contest, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.

Consent to Contact Data Collection

• The participation and submission of the online form constitutes consent to collection of participant’s contact and personal data for the purposes of this contest.
• Voters will subscribe to SBPA promotion mailing list by default and voters can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.
